Description
Grub screws, also known as set screws, are small but incredibly important fasteners found in countless applications. Unlike regular screws, grub screws don’t have a head that extends out, making them ideal for situations where space is limited or a flush surface is needed. Typically used to secure one object within another, they are commonly seen in mechanical and automotive industries, as well as in furniture assembly. These screws are typically tightened using a hex key or Allen wrench, allowing for a firm grip without protruding hardware. Grub screws come in various materials like stainless steel and brass, offering durability and corrosion resistance. Their compact size and strength make them essential for precision work, from securing gears and pulleys to fixing handles or knobs in place. Despite their small stature, grub screws play a crucial role in ensuring stability and performance in a wide range of devices.
