Visual Communication Consultants is a Broome based business, established in 2014. We have helped and advised countless clients to communicate with deaf and complex communication needs people. We are a registered NDIS Auslan training provider focusing on our remote areas of the Kimberley and Pilbara We provide our services and programs of Auslan courses statewide to people of all ages who have complex communication .
Australian Sign Language (Auslan) interpreters facilitate communication between deaf people and hearing people, this can be conveyed orally or signed from English to Auslan and Auslan to English. Auslan Interpreters perform this with accuracy and objectivity to enable communication is delivered with honesty.
Michelle Lewin is the face behind Visual Communication Consultants, and she has a personal connection having spent her childhood with her deaf foster brother, who 35 years ago, was forbidden to sign and would get his hands smacked at school. This led to her sister and herself trying to learn what they could and her foster brother teaching them what he knew, so that they could communicate. This has made Michelle passionate about what she does, making her a great trainer!
